Guide to Menopause
by Tatiana Fleischman, MD
Menopause drove me to the edge. This is how I turned things around.
I opened my eyes all dazed and confused: “Where am I? Why am I lying on the floor in my own clinic?”
I was supposed to be helping my patients. Instead, I was the one in need of urgent help. Someone called 911…
But was it a surprise? Hardly! This had been a disaster in the making for at least a year.
First, I lost my sleep: Sometimes I slept 2 hours a night and sometimes I got no sleep whatsoever, tossing and turning until sunrise. And that’s not all. I was a mess:
- Always tired and sleepy
- Stopped driving my car to work scared I could doze off and crash!
- No energy for anything
- Brain fog 24 x 7 never letting up
- Gained 40 lbs. Big belly and muffin top - totally flabby all over
- Lost so much hair I was seriously shopping for a wig
- My skin had gone crepey… I didn’t want to see myself in the mirror!
- Dragged myself to the office and could barely make it through the day
- Felt 100 years old with aches and pains all over my body
No wonder I got depressed. Anxious and depressed at the same time. I couldn’t stop thinking:
“Where is it all going?”
I had no idea why all that was happening to me. I was a doctor and couldn’t figure out what was going on inside my own body?
That was just plain scary! I started to suspect the worst… so went to a doctor I worked with.
She couldn’t figure it out, either. The standard tests she ordered all came back NORMAL.
Then I went to my GYN looking for help. And what did he say?
“It’s all in your head!”
That was the moment I knew I was ON MY OWN in my battle against this mysterious condition.
And it wasn’t all in my head.
So I searched high and low. I Googled for hours during my sleepless nights. I saw a bunch other doctors and alternative practitioners. They were just shrugging their shoulders sending me on a wild goose chase from one office to another.
I took lots of vitamins and tried to eat healthy. None of that worked!
But I wasn’t going to give up, and my determination was rewarded.
Help finally arrived. I finally got my answer.
I found a specialist in Utah during one of my sleepless wee hour web searches. The next morning I dragged myself to the airport and took the first flight to Salt Lake City.
That expert knew right away what was going on. As soon as I walked through his office door! And then he ran specialized tests regular doctors never even think about and gave it to me straight:
"YOU ARE A MESS!"
Plain and simple.
Finally the problem that had tormented me for so long had a name. And the best news, it was fixable!
The specialist gave the treatments I needed so desperately, and soon I was back to normal.
No more brain fog, sleepless nights, mood swings or low energy!
- I slept for 16 hours straight after my first treatment
- In 3 months I was skinny again. Lost 35 lbs!
- In 6 months I was able to climb Machu Picchu! All the way to the top, on foot!
- Got my hair and skin back. My stylist still thinks I am hiding a secret hair restoration formula from her!
But what was it? What pushed me to the brink of disaster?
It was MENOPAUSE.
Just menopause? At first, I couldn’t believe it myself. What’s the big deal? Every woman has to go through it at some point. But menopause can do a lot of damage. Because menopause means deficiency and imbalance of your key hormones. The hormones you need for survival.
And it can hit you when you least expect it.
You can be only in your 40s. But that’s when hormonal imbalance starts. It’s called perimenopause. Then the full-blown menopause follows.
So if you are going through any of the symptoms I had - insomnia, low energy, weight gain, depression, anxiety and many others, you may be going through menopause. And your doctor may have no clue.
Once my menopause was under control, it struck me:
I had to help others in my situation. It was my duty as a person and a doctor. I made it my life’s mission!
That’s when I decided to become a menopause expert myself. I just had to do it. After all I had been through, I was in the best position to understand what other women are going through.
First I asked the doctor who literally saved my life to teach me everything he knew. And he agreed! But my training didn’t stop there. I wanted to be the best I could be. It took me several years to take many different courses and trainings. And then I knew I was ready.
So here I am now: a menopause expert. I know what to do and how to help you. Menopause almost pushed me over the edge. Whatever menopause symptoms you may be experiencing right now, I’ve been through them and chances are, I had them even worse.
But you don’t have to go that far. And to catch the problem early, you need to know its many faces. So if you have
- Hot flashes
- Chronic fatigue
- Lack of motivation
- Brain fog
- Mood Swings
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Weight gain and belly fat
- Low sex drive
- Painful sex
It may be menopause or perimenopause. Even if you consider yourself too young for it.
If you take no action, menopause can really push you over the edge like it did in my case. If you let this wrecking ball crush your life, your body, your relationships, your career it will ruin everything that’s important to you.
I am saying this now both as a menopause expert and menopause survivor. I’ve been through the worst of menopause and I know how every symptom feels. I know how you feel.
But I also know it can all be prevented and fixed. You can avoid the pains of menopause if you take the right steps.
And the first step is understanding what’s going on.
That’s why I’ve put together this concise information-laden Guide to Menopause. It will arm you with the knowledge I wish I had, even as a doctor, before I collapsed from menopause that fateful day.
Download and read this Guide. It’s absolutely free and an easy read. I am giving it away for free because it’s my mission to make sure nobody else goes through what I went through.
Get informed! Because what’s the alternative?
- You can do nothing and wait for the symptoms of menopause to get worse and new symptoms appear.
- You can then go to your regular doctor only to hear there is nothing wrong with you - exactly what I heard back then. And while your are listening to your doctor’s “reassurances” that you are doing just fine, deep inside you’ll feel that everything is going down the drain.
- And then you’ll leave the office and start searching the web just like did?
That won’t be a fun and easy experience with brain fog, insomnia, fat where it doesn’t belong, memory glitches, fatigue, low sex drive and hot flashes creeping in.
